Tracy Preston is one of very few people who knows what Neiman Marcus will offer as “fantasy gifts” in The Christmas Book long before the catalogue comes out.

As senior vice president and general counsel for the Neiman Marcus Group, Preston deals with all legal aspects of the high-end retailer’s annual holiday catalogue. Before Neiman Marcus released the 90th edition of The Christmas Book in October, Preston’s legal team had drafted the contracts and negotiated key terms, such as intellectual property licensing, insurance and indemnification with the vendors. Once the agreements were executed, Preston and her team reviewed the advertising and other marketing materials.
