Dallas attorney Casey Griffith beat the government at its own game in more ways than one when he recently convinced the Patent Trial and Appeal Board to deny review to five out of his client’s six patents that the U.S. Department of Justice wanted invalidated.

Griffith represents Discovery Patents, which licenses patents for video security monitoring systems owned by 3rd Eye Surveillance. 3rd Eye has pursued over $1 billion worth of patent infringement cases against several federal agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Agency.
