Austin solo practitioner Greg Gegenheimer on Monday filed a federal discrimination lawsuit against members of the board of directors of the State Bar of Texas, alleging they have violated the Equal Protection Clause of the constitution by maintaining a race- and sex-based quota scheme for the composition of their panel.
The Project on Fair Representation, the same nonprofit that sponsored Abigail Fisher’s unsuccessful reverse discrimination lawsuit against the University of Texas at Austin, is financing Gegenheimer’s litigation.
