Pepper Hamilton is experiencing the backlash of its Title IX internal investigations work at Baylor University, as a former associate athletics director who blames the firm for his abrupt firing has filed a lawsuit.

Tom Hill, who was terminated from Baylor in May, filed the suit against Pepper Hamilton on Tuesday in the McLennan County District Court in Texas. He alleges that Pepper Hamilton’s report on Baylor was flawed, and resulted in his dismissal from the university. The lawsuit claims damages of $60,000.
