When a reliably efficient federal judge like Sidney Fitzwater gets behind on his docket, there has to be a really good reason for it.

Since his appointment to the bench in 1986 by then-President Ronald Reagan, Fitzwater has built a reputation as one of the hardest-working judges in Dallas. Lawyers and litigants alike have come to expect timely rulings in his court as a matter of course. And as a testament to Fitzwater’s diligence, he has never once rated a mention on Texas Lawyer‘s annual Slowpoke Report.
