Andrews Kurth Kenyon saw its gross revenue drop by 2.7 percent in 2016, but net income rose by 2.2 percent as the firm expanded in New York and Washington, D.C., with the addition of 53 lawyers from an intellectual property boutique.

The firm’s revenue per lawyer was $885,000 in 2016­—a 4.8 percent decline compared with 2015, but profits per partner improved to $1,260,000—up 2 percent compared with the previous year. Gross revenue came in at $289 million in 2016, compared with $297 million in 2015, and net income was $92 million, compared with $90 million the year before.
