Australia-headquartered litigation funder Bentham IMF has hired away a partner from Yetter Coleman to spearhead its push into the Texas legal market, marking another expansion of its U.S. operations.

The hiring of Eric Chenoweth, a commercial and intellectual property litigator at Yetter Coleman for 13 years, follows last week’s announcement of a deal between Bentham and New York-based Fortress Investment Group to create a fund that could grow up to $200 million to back U.S. litigation.
