The Texas Senate has approved the State Bar of Texas sunset bill after adopting an amendment that partially restores bar members’ right to vote on proposed dues increases.
“It’s a compromise between many of the interested parties,” Trey Apffel, a past president of the State Bar, said of the amendment shortly after the Senate voted unanimously in favor of the bill April 4.
