When you enter Gardere Wynne Sewell’s Houston office, you’ll find yourself staring at the firm’s artwork – and it may be staring back at you. Instead of exclusively displaying paintings, the firm primarily displays photographs. One photo that’s made waves is the riveting close-up of the eye of a Komodo dragon by Henry Horenstein, purchased from John Cleary Gallery. The single eye stares at the viewer with such intensity that attorneys asked that it be moved from the conference room to a hallway – it was that unsettling.
But most of the photographs have been well received.
