  1. INTRODUCTION

This is not a typical wrongful death case. It does not involve the death of a human. But it does involve the loss of a close companion, which was caused by defendant’s wrongful act, and for which plaintiff must be compensated. Upon a finding of defendant’s liability, this Court must determine the proper measure of damages for that loss.
