Hard Corps: Proposed National Militia to Patrol Border Differs From Existing Texas State Guard

A federal bill filed on July 28, The Border Protection Act, would establish a national militia of "able-bodied and eligible" citizens to help prevent people from unlawfully crossing an international border and crossing into the United States. The militia would be available to the governor of any border state.
