The 2024 Texas 100

The Texas 100 is the definitive ranking of the top 100 law firms by number of attorneys in based in the state of Texas, as well as financials for Texas firms appearing in the Am Law 200. Published each summer through the efforts of the Texas Lawyer editorial team and Law.com Compass, this report offers firm-by-firm data on key financial metrics and deep analysis of the cohort's performance and what it means for the rest of the market. Information includes an examination of revenue, profits, per-lawyer metrics, head count growth and much more. Lawyer head count grew by 2.1% overall in 2023 at the 100 firms with the most lawyers in Texas, with midsize Texas firms and out-of-state firms with Texas offices accounting for much of that growth. Meanwhile, as firms look nationally and globally for expansion, many of the large firms founded in Texas reduced their lawyer head counts in 2023 in the Lone Star State, while often adding lawyers elsewhere in the U.S. and internationally. The Majority of Homegrown Texas Firms on Am Law 200 Upped Revenue in 2023
