Post & Schell's reevaluation of its place in the larger insurance-defense market over the last few years has resulted in partner defections, shifts in internal leadership and changes to other firms that have grabbed Post & Schell attorneys.

The most recent of those changes was the defection this week of insurance department Chairman John C. Sullivan and partners Stacey Z. Jumper and Kathleen K. Kerns along with two associates. The group went to Christie Pabarue and Young, which has now renamed itself Christie Sullivan and Young, name partner James Young confirmed Thursday.

But both Sullivan and Post & Schell Acting President and CEO Michael Gang said the move had nothing to do with Post & Schell moving away from insurance coverage work and everything to do with conflicts.
