The state Superior Court upheld a verdict in favor of an eye surgeon in a case where a man claimed the doctor’s inadvertent anesthesia injection caused him to go blind in one eye.

A split three-judge panel in Chiodetti v. Fernandes affirmed Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Senior Judge Mary D. Colins’ ruling in favor of Dr. Eugene Fernandes.
