To say that 2014 was an eventful year for former Chief Justice Ronald D. Castille is something of an understatement.

Castille’s final year on the bench was a year of conclusions. He cut the ribbon to the newly opened Philadelphia Family Court building, putting a capstone on a passion project to which he devoted himself since 2008. He also authored the court’s majority opinion in Tincher v. Omega Flex, a case that concluded the longstanding debate over the direction of Pennsylvania’s products liability law.
