It was a strong year for most large Pennsylvania firms, with revenue growth in 2014 nearly across the board and profits per equity partner showing positive change at most firms. The only declines in both revenue and PPP were modest.

At a few firms, mergers and hires boosted revenue and head count, while others made major deals that have yet to show in the numbers reported. Head count growth led to a decline in revenue per lawyer at two firms, but the others stayed steady in RPL and a few showed notable growth.
