As the special Senate committee pursuing Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane's removal prepares for a hearing Tuesday at which Kane said she will not testify, she has petitioned the state Supreme Court for reinstatement of her suspended law license.

In the King's Bench petition, Kane alleges that suspended Justice J. Michael Eakin should not have participated in the court's Sept. 21 order suspending her license because she uncovered and publicized the pornographic and offensive emails that have since contributed to his suspension.

“Because the judgment of this court which resulted in the suspension order is incurably tainted, this court must immediately vacate this order and reinstate” Kane's license, the petition said.
