A Philadelphia judge has blasted as “fiction” allegations by an attorney that she was “physically intimidating” during a nursing home neglect case, and even twice put her finger in the attorney's face.

In a recent post-trial opinion in the case Jackson v. City of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Shelley Robins New said claims attorney Rhonda Hill Wilson made about her conduct during the case were “fiction,” and “exaggerations and blatant misstatements of the facts.”

Wilson had argued in post-trial motions that Robins New acted with “bias, ill will and partiality” toward her and the plaintiff, Eric Jackson, including removing him from the courtroom in front of the jury without Wilson knowing, threatening sanctions, and “on two occasions during trial putting her finger in the face” of Wilson.
