Former longtime Philadelphia District Attorney Lynne Abraham and litigator Richard Sprague have sued to remove current District Attorney Seth Williams from office.

In a lawsuit filed Monday, Abraham and Sprague asked the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas for a writ of quo warranto to end Williams' “unlawful attempt to maintain his position.”

The two high-profile lawyers argued in their complaint that because Williams' law license has been temporarily suspended, he's not qualified to keep his position as the city's top prosecutor.
