A day after Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams' arraignment on additional corruption charges, the federal judge overseeing the case pushed the trial back roughly three weeks.

A day after Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams' arraignment on additional corruption charges, the federal judge overseeing the case pushed the trial back roughly three weeks.
Williams is set to stand trial on June 19, as per an order by U.S. District Judge Paul S. Diamond of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Williams' trial was originally scheduled for May 31. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.
Attorneys for both Williams and the government had been under a tight deadline to wrap up preparation for trial. Williams was indicted in March, and Diamond made clear that he wanted the case to move as quickly as possible. At Williams arraignment on May 11, his lawyer Thomas Burke said that both sides had been negotiating with Diamond to postpone the trial.
