Reed Smith has brought on two lawyers from Dentons to lead a new practice area in aviation and aerospace finance and commercial space business, extending a string of recent lateral moves in aviation law.

Elizabeth Evans joined Reed Smith as a partner and Delbert Smith has joined as senior counsel, the firm announced Tuesday. Evans, who will be in the New York office, was the global co-head of Dentons' aviation and aerospace group. Smith, who will be in Tysons Corner, Virginia, led Dentons' space business group.

Smith said moving to Reed Smith lets him and Evans continue offering their clients a global presence, which he said is essential in the space industry, and allows them to build an industry-focused team combining areas of law across traditional practice groups.
