Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney is making another change to its leadership team, bringing on a new chief financial officer with decades of Big Law experience.

William Ryan joined the firm on Monday, replacing CFO Michael Pauvlinch, who plans to retire in July. Ryan served in various roles at Patton Boggs for about three decades, including as CFO from 1999 to 2014. He left the CFO role after the firm's merger with Squire Sanders, he said, but he continued to work for Squire Patton Boggs as a consultant until recently.

The CFO change comes just after Buchanan Ingersoll announced last week that it hired a new chief business development officer, Melissa Croteau, and that its former CBDO, Randy Vulakovich, was moving to the role of chief administrative officer. Like Croteau, Ryan will be based in Buchanan Ingersoll's Washington, D.C., office.
