A man who sustained traumatic brain injuries after a tractor-trailer crashed into his car as it was stopped on an Illinois highway is set to receive $9.75 million from a settlement with the trucking company.

The case settled after two weeks of trial in Chief Judge Patrice Tucker of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania's courtroom.

Gary Williams became permanently disabled as a result of the accident that occurred after the U-Haul box trailer he was towing jackknifed behind his Chevy Trailblazer and a tractor-trailer from K&B Transportation rammed into the disabled vehicle.
