As the Arthur J. Kania Dean and professor of law at the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, Alexander serves as the school's chief administrator and chairperson of the faculty. He joined Villanova on July 1, 2016. Prior to that, he served as associate dean for academics at Seton Hall University School of Law. He is the first African-American law dean at Villanova.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
