With the hire of a former member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and two Schiff Hardin lawyers, Reed Smith has built a group focused on helping clients navigate FERC regulations.

Former FERC commissioner Colette Honorable joined Reed Smith's energy and natural resources practice in Washington, D.C., along with Regina Speed-Bost, who chaired the energy group at Schiff Hardin. Counsel Debra Ann Palmer, also of Schiff Hardin, is joining Reed Smith as well.

“Many firms in the past have tried to fill this gap with one key hire,” said Reed Smith's Prajakt Samant, who chairs the practice. “It's a much more compelling proposition … to be able to offer the kind of team we have in Regina and Colette and Debra.”
