A federal judge dealt a losing hand to the corporate owner of Harrah's Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack in its attempt to have a former card dealer's employment lawsuit dismissed.

While U.S. District Michael J. Baylson of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania threw out ex-dealer Donald Worthington's disability discrimination claims, he left Harrah's on the hook for Worthington's Americans with Disabilities Act and Family and Medical Leave Act retaliation claims.

Worthington was injured during a scuffle with another employee, according to Baylson's opinion. He was diagnosed with shoulder strain and was approved for six months of medical leave.
