Department of Education Grant

Gov. Tom Wolf announced that the Pennsylvania Department of Education will receive $7.3 million for school districts to assist middle school students with behavioral health under the “Middle School Success: The Path to Graduation” grant program.

The grant is set to go into effect this October and take place over the next five years.

According to the governor's press release, 24,000 Pennsylvania students are identified as having behavioral needs. With this new grant, school districts in the state will receive funds to aid in “ongoing professional development to ensure that every student can succeed,” according to the statement.
