In a $30 million suit over an alleged conflict of interest, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius says that its ex-client, Towers Watson Delaware, knew about and consented to the firm's representation of Towers' adversary, Meriter Health Services.

Morgan Lewis filed preliminary objections late last week to Towers' complaint, which alleged Morgan Lewis assisted Meriter in its lawsuit against Towers.

Towers alleges that Morgan Lewis used its knowledge of the company to help another law firm develop Meriter's suit. Morgan Lewis has argued that Towers' complaint fails to state a claim for breach of contract or breach of fiduciary duty.
