Dylan W. Ciocca joined Capehart & Scatchard's workers' compensation department in its Mount Laurel, New Jersey, office.
The new associate represents insurance carriers and employers in the defense of workers' compensation claims at all stages of litigation.
Ciocca received his law degree from Villanova University School of Law.
He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Alan Nochumson, sole shareholder of Nochumson P.C., taught the Jenkins Law Library's CLE course on litigating landlord-tenant disputes in
Philadelphia.
Attendees learned the notice requirements due to a tenant under state law, the defenses a tenant has to nonpayment of rent, and the rationale for filing a complaint in the Philadelphia Municipal Court or the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Nochumson is a real estate attorney in Philadelphia who founded Nochumson P.C. more than a decade ago.
His law firm's primary practice areas consist of real estate, litigation, land use and zoning, business formation and general counseling and appellate advocacy.

Kenneth S. Butensky, chief deputy city solicitor of the Philadelphia Law Department, gave two presentations.
In “Found Money—Municipal Judgments” at the International Municipal Lawyers Association's conference in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Butensky discussed ways to collect judgments or leverage services from debts previously deemed uncollectible.
Butensky also gave a presentation on risk avoidance in snow and ice control operations at a program conducted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Department of Engineering Professional Development.

Jacqueline Campbell was named a partner at Fowler Hirtzel McNulty & Spaulding.
Campbell, who practices in the firm's Philadelphia office, focuses her practice on the defense of commercial vehicles, construction accident and general casualty matters.
She handles all aspects of litigation in significant matters, including jury trial and appellate work.
Campbell also works closely with major retail clients in defending a variety of in-store claims and developing strategy for risk management and employee training issues.
Campbell is a graduate of the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
