Omar Woodard, executive director of GreenLight Fund Philadelphia, spoke on how philanthropic groups can create change in big cities like Philadelphia.

Impact100 Philadelphia engages women in philanthropy and collectively funds high-impact grants to nonprofits in the Philadelphia area.

Since 2009, the group has awarded more than $2 million to support the programs and services of 31 nonprofits in five focus areas of arts and culture, education, environment, family and health and wellness.

Speakers

Lamb McErlane partner Vasilios J. “Bill” Kalogredis spoke at the Physician Practice and Reimbursement Seminar for the Healthcare Financial Management Association on Oct. 25 in Philadelphia at Penn Medicine.

Kalogredis discussed alternative practice structures, including concierge medicine, cash only and direct contracting.

He also addressed the ever-changing health care environment and how many medical practitioners are looking to practice in a different way.

He explained some of the approaches and how they do or do not work.

Kalogredis is partner and chairman of Lamb McErlane's health law department.

He has been practicing health law for over 40 years, exclusively representing physicians, dentists, group practices, other health care professionals and health care-related entities.

Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young counsel Jana M. Landon served as a panelist at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's 22nd annual bankruptcy institute on Oct. 26 in Philadelphia.

Landon's panel, “Cybersecurity,” discussed the latest challenges facing law firms and their clients, practical law or no-tech ways to up cybersecurity readiness, and privacy and cybersecurity considerations when handling bankruptcy matters.

Landon is co-chair of the firm's cyber insurance and data breach response groups.

Her practice focuses on advising lawyers and clients on data security and data management issues and legal, technical and strategic issues regarding information governance.

She also represents clients in complex insurance coverage matters.

She handles a wide range of matters in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey courts.

Her practice centers on defending clients facing claims involving the Federal Employers Liability Act, common carrier litigation, asbestos-related toxic torts, personal injury and a variety of other commercial claims.

Grose received her law degree from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law in Philadelphia.

Prior to joining the firm, Grose completed a clerkship for Gloucester County, New Jersey, Superior Court Judge David W. Morgan.
