A federal judge has denied Philadelphia City Councilman Kenyatta John's request to pause discovery in develop Ori Feibush's lawsuit alleging the councilman tried to block him out of a development bid.

Feibush claimed that Johnson “improperly inserted himself into the Philadelphia Land Bank's approval process concerning a proposal to develop a parcel of land at 1138-42 S. 20th Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in order to prevent plaintiffs from winning the bid,” according to U.S. District Judge Wendy Beetlestones' opinion.

Beetlestone refused to halt discovery until it could be determined whether Johnson is entitled to qualified immunity.
