Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young counsel George Michael Gerstein was appointed chair to the Legal & Regulatory Council of the Association of Institutional INVESTORS.
With experience working at two large financial institutions, Gerstein concentrates on the fiduciary and prohibited transaction provisions of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act as they apply to the investment and management of plan assets.
He's been focused on the DOL Fiduciary Rule and otherwise assisting clients with ERISA compliance strategies.

The Delaware Valley Law Firm Marketing Group is scheduled to host “Are Your Lawyers Introverts or Extroverts? Marketing Success With Both Types” Dec. 12 in Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis' Philadelphia office.
Barbara Kaplan and Jason Lisi are set to offer tips on marketing success with introverts, extroverts and just about everyone else.
Lisi is the founder and president of Legal Internet Solutions Inc., which he started in 1998 after practicing tax and bankruptcy law in Philadelphia.
Involved at the intersection of the legal profession and the internet since 1992, Lisi now leads a team of marketing professionals that develops websites, blogs, social media campaigns and all other online-marketing efforts.
Kaplan is the founder and CEO of BSK Strategies, a business development consulting firm.
She provides business development training and coaching, counsels on disruptions and innovations in the legal marketplace, and consults with firms on succession planning, client transition and strategies for remaining profitable and sustainable.

Kimberly Rice, president/chief strategist of KLA Marketing Associates and author of “Rainmaker Roadmap: A Step-by-Step Guide to Building a Prosperous Business” presented an American Bar Association: Women Rainmakers Niche Marketing local program.
Duane Morris' Philadelphia office hosted the luncheon program.
Rice led the session that focused on how to identify and narrow attorneys' legal focus on one or two appropriate niche areas, and what steps they need to take to reach ideal clients.

Royer Cooper Cohen Braunfeld donated $10,000 to The R.E.L.I.E.F. Foundation, a nonprofit disaster support operation headquartered in the Philadelphia region.
RCCB's donation will influence the lives of those directly affected by the recent hurricanes that have ravaged the Gulf states and Caribbean.
The R.E.L.I.E.F Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing assistance to the people and areas that have experienced great hardship due to forces beyond their control.
Formed after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the R.E.L.I.E.F. Foundation uses crowdsourcing to organize volunteers to rebuild communities in devastated areas.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
