Warner graduated from Drexel University, served two years active duty in the U.S. Army and in 1960 graduated from Temple University Law School.
He started working with Francis E. Marshall, first at Davis, Crumlish and Marshall and then at The Law Offices of Francis E. Marshall, according to a release.

Warner defended cases in a variety of disciplines including general casualty, products liability, construction, medical malpractice and professional liability. Over the last 20 years of his career, Warner concentrated more and more of his practice in the defense of medical malpractice matters, representing both doctors and hospitals.
Warner was active in the Montgomery Bar Association and served as president of its trial lawyers section in 1984. In 2004, the trial lawyers section presented Warner with the James P. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Sue; three children; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. •
