Blank Rome partner Morey Rosenbloom died Jan. 8 at age 73.

Rosenbloom joined Blank Rome in 1970, becoming a partner in 1978, according to a press release provided by Blank Rome.

Rosenbloom's practice was focused on advising clients that own and operate family businesses on the preservation and transfer of wealth.

He served as chair of the business department, and prior to that was the chair of the firm's tax and fiduciary group. He also ran the firm's billing and collections process for a period of time and developed the system that the firm still has in place today, according to the firm.

Throughout his career at Blank Rome, Rosenbloom served on the executive committee, distribution committee, management committee, partner board and billing committee.

Rosenbloom was a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and wrote and spoke about subjects involving tax and estate planning and business and family succession planning. He also taught estate and family business planning at Temple University School of Law and Villanova University School of Law, a release said.

Rosenbloom received his J.D. from Temple University in 1969.

Before joining Blank Rome, Rosenbloom was a law clerk for Pennsylvania Supreme Court Chief Justice John C. Bell Jr. from 1969 to 1970.. •
