Jacquelyn J. Ager was named a Conrad O'Brien partner.
Ager's practice focuses primarily on employment matters and the defense of professional liability matters; she also handles complex commercial litigation.
She earned her law degree from American University Washington College of Law.
Ager also serves as secretary and a volunteer board member of the Sunshine Foundation.

Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby elected Ryan R. McBride and Joanne R. Rubinsohn to partnership.
McBride defends clients in general liability and professional liability matters.
His clients include individuals, businesses, municipalities and related governmental entities, as well as physicians and other professionals.
Rubinsohn, who is based in the firm's Philadelphia office, defends clients in general liability matters involving negligence, construction defect and dram shop law.
Her clients include individuals, businesses, colleges and corporate entities.

Littler Mendelson appointed new leaders of its Philadelphia office with William Leahy succeeding Kristine Grady Derewicz in Philadelphia.
Each previous office managing shareholder (OMS) will maintain their active legal practices and leadership responsibilities at Littler, with Derewicz joining Littler's six-person management committee.
Leahy focuses his practice on counseling clients on matters that arise out of the employer-employee relationship, including those involving discrimination and harassment, protection of trade secrets and confidential information and disability and medical leave requirements.
He has experience defending employers in bench and jury trials, in federal and state courts and he represents employers in a range of industries, including health care, pharmaceutical and defense contracting.

PNC Bank appointed John F. “Jack” Gross to its northeast Pennsylvania regional advisory board.
Gross is a partner at Gross McGinley who counsels businesses of all sizes on general corporate matters, including real estate, financing, intellectual property and advertising.
His experience spans a range of industries, including his representation of media and publishing companies, manufacturing companies, doctors and medical practices and nonprofits.
In addition to a legal practice that includes representing individual clients and municipalities, Gross is also a licensed title insurance agent.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
