Dilworth Paxson partner Jennifer Platzkere Snyder is a scheduled speaker at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's CLE “Emerging Issues in Restrictive Covenants and Trade Secrets” on Wednesday.
Snyder is an attorney in the firm's labor and employment group.
She represents public and private sector employers in addressing all aspects of labor and employment law, including traditional labor-management relations, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, restrictive covenants and trade secret disputes, whistleblowing, executive employment agreements, wage-and-hour audits, personnel policies, reductions-in-force and employee discipline and discharge matters.

Jacobs Law Group founder and managing attorney Neal A. Jacobs presented “Parasitic Partners” to the business divorce subcommittee of the American Bar Association during the business and corporate law section meeting in Washington, D.C.
The presentation focused on the methods for dealing with parasitic partners, those who take more than they give to a business.
Jacobs also shared several tactics to approach the problem in different jurisdictions including Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
He focuses his practice on complex corporate, business and litigation matters.
Jacobs devotes particular attention to privately held companies and their shareholder and member relations.
Jacobs also handles complex corporate matters involving the rights and obligations of management and the various classes of equity holders and lenders.
Elected and Appointed
Thomas E. Panzer, a High Swartz partner, was elected to the Bucks County Bar Association board of directors.
The Bucks County board of director position is a three-year term following an election of the general membership of the Bucks County Bar Association.
The board meets monthly to transact the general business of the bar association.
In addition, Douglas Wayne was elected to co-chair the workers' compensation section.
Panzer represents both claimants and defendants in workers' compensation matters with a practice that also focuses on the areas of administrative litigation, including zoning.
Wayne practices workers' compensation defense, personal injury, contract, real estate, employment law and general civil litigation.

Lamb McErlane partner Mary-Ellen H. Allen was elected president of the Chester County Bar Association for 2018.
She has been a member of the board for the past eight years.
At Lamb McErlane Allen is co-chair of the employment law department and a member of the litigation department.
She concentrates her practice in employment law and commercial litigation.
Events
Patrice S. O'Brien participated in the evaluation of research applications submitted to the Breast Cancer Research Program sponsored by the Department of Defense.
As a consumer reviewer, she was a full-voting member, along with scientists, at meetings to help determine how the $120 million appropriated for the program by Congress for fiscal year 2017 will be spent on research to address breast cancer and treatments.
For the past 10 years, O'Brien has been the captain of Rawle & Henderson's race team for the annual Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure, helping to raise over $78,500 to find a cure for breast cancer.
O'Brien is of counsel in Rawle & Henderson's Philadelphia office.
She has practiced as a civil trial lawyer for over 30 years in the areas of medical malpractice, products liability, catastrophic loss and premises liability in the mid-Atlantic region.

The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
