Priscilla Jimenez of Kline & Specter was appointed diversity chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association for 2018.
Jimenez joined Kline & Specter after gaining experience with a federal civil rights office, a Philadelphia hospital and another city law firm.
Before starting at the firm, where she concentrates on mass torts and personal injury litigation, Jimenez worked for three years at the Locks Law Firm in Philadelphia.

Duane Morris partner Robert M. Palumbos was appointed co-chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association Appellate Courts Committee.
Palumbos, an appellate lawyer, helps companies and entrepreneurs resolve complex legal issues in appellate and commercial litigation.
His appellate work covers a wide range of legal areas, such as the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, corporate governance, administrative agency law, real estate and insurance coverage.
In addition, Palumbos represents companies in complex commercial litigation in trial courts throughout the United States.
Palumbos is vice chair of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court's Appellate Court Procedural Rules Committee.
He is also an adjunct professor of appellate advocacy at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

King, Spry, Herman, Freund & Faul's Kent H. Herman was appointed to the Salisbury Township Zoning Hearing Board for a one-year term.
Herman is a partner with King Spry, chair of the firm's affordable housing group and a member of the municipal and litigation practices.
He is a former president of the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission and a former elected township commissioner of Salisbury Township.

The Villanova University Environmental Law Journal Blank Rome Symposium, “Standing at the Intersection of Robinson Township and Trump: Current Issues in Real Estate Development and Environmental Law” is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.
The symposium is set to feature a group of experienced industry professionals ranging from accomplished Pennsylvania attorneys to dedicated city officials.
Discussing the intersection of real estate development and environmental law, the panelists will offer invaluable insight into the cutting-edge projects that strive to create renewable energy sources and other redevelopment projects on environmentally contaminated properties.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
