Jackson Kelly elevated attorney Patrick Dennison to member.
Dennison is based in Pittsburgh.
Dennison's practice focuses primarily on litigation, coal and occupational health and safety.
He holds a law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law.

Ellen Ceisler was sworn in as a judge of the Commonwealth Court on Jan. 9. Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Debra Todd read Ceisler's commission and state Supreme Court Justice Kevin M. Dougherty administered the oath of office.
Commonwealth Court President Judge Mary Hannah Leavitt presided over the ceremony, which was also attended by Superior Court President Judge Susan Peikes Gantman and judges of the Commonwealth Court, Superior Court and Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Ceisler sat as a judge on the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas since 2017.
Previously, she served as the director of the Office of Integrity and Accountability of the Philadelphia Police Department and as an assistant district attorney in Philadelphia.

Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin elevated several Pennsylvania-based attorneys to shareholder. Those attorneys include:
• Joseph V. Lesinski, shareholder in the casualty department who concentrates his practice in the defense of companies and individuals in complex civil litigation matters.
• Nicole M. Ehrhart, shareholder in the firm's professional liability department, defends attorneys and other nonmedical professionals in claims and suits brought against them in federal and state courts throughout Pennsylvania.

McNees Wallace & Nurick attorney Jonathan D. Andrews joined Steve Weingarten as co-chair of the firm's real estate group.
Andrews practices in the area of land use law, working on a variety of zoning and land development matters.
He represents commercial and residential developers, members of the energy, telecommunications and gaming industries, institutions of higher education and other landowners in a variety of matters before municipal planning commissions, governing bodies and zoning hearing boards.
His work includes all forms of zoning relief, including special exceptions and conditional uses and he also advises clients on requests for zoning amendments and challenges to existing ordinances.
He also works on stormwater management and transportation matters that arise during the land development approval process.

Saxton & Stump added Dr. Christopher B. Rumpf to the firm's Lancaster office.
Rumpf brings over 35 years of implementation in health care management and initiatives to the firm.
As senior medical consultant, he assists with mitigation efforts on behalf of the firm's clients, helping them reduce the risk of lawsuits, improve revenue and provide support through health care management and quality initiatives.
He also supports the firm's defense lawyers by helping them understand clinical issues with cases.

Paul J. Bruder Jr. joined Mette, Evans & Woodside after 20 years at Rhoads & Sinon, where he served as chair of its environmental practice group.
Bruder previously served as an attorney with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
In the area of environmental law, Bruder focuses his practice in federal and state regulatory compliance, solid waste planning, sewage facilities planning, brownfield remediation and development, storage tank permitting and remediation and water quality matters.
His work in the natural resources area includes counseling clients in matters related to mining and natural gas leasing, exploration and drilling.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The case, assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Anita Marie Boor, is 3:24-cv-00630, Secker, Nathan v. Epic Systems Corporation.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
