Elected and Appointed
Philadelphia labor, employment, workers' compensation and family law firm Willig, Williams & Davidson promoted Brett J. Zeitlin to partner.
Zeitlin focuses his practice on family law and general civil litigation.
He counsels and represents domestic relations clients in divorce, support, custody, paternity, protection from abuse, guardianship and dependency matters.
He also assists clients facing disputes with debtors, creditors and service providers.
Zeitlin joined Willig Williams in 2008 with a wide range of experience in family law and litigation.

Young Basile Hanlon & MacFarlane elected Adam D. Kline to shareholder.
Kline practices all aspects of intellectual property, with a primary focus on patent prosecution in the areas of automotive systems, computer software, wireless telecommunications and electronics.
Prior to joining Young Basile, Kline worked in a variety of different industries and has experience as a software engineer, business analyst and project manager.
Kline also has experience managing software development for leading industries, including food service, industrial manufacturing, retail sales and government security.
He received his law degree from Temple University's Beasley School of Law in 2007.

McNees Wallace & Nurick attorney Mark M. Van Blargan was approved for his first term of service as a member of the Susquehanna Art Museum board of directors.
Blargan is chair of the firm's health care group and a member of the education law group.
His practice focuses on serving large health care providers and colleges and universities.
Blargan started his career at the firm, became in-house counsel for a large health system in Pennsylvania, and rejoined the firm in 1997.
For some clients, Blargan acts as outside general counsel.
For other clients, he acts as special counsel, particularly for complex mergers and acquisitions.

Megan G. Knoll joined Morris Wilson as an associate.
She is a 2017 graduate of Temple University's Beasley School of Law.
She served as a law clerk to the general counsel's office of Temple University Hospital and Fox Chase Cancer Center, where she assisted in producing guidelines for clinical trial agreement negotiations with pharmaceutical sponsors.
She joins the firm's litigation team handling catastrophic personal injury, automobile and commercial litigation matters.

Jeremy Cole joined Flaster Greenberg as an associate in the litigation department.
Cole, who will work in Flaster Greenberg's Cherry Hill, New Jersey, office, will focus his practice on commercial litigation.
He represents corporate and individual clients in all aspects of commercial litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, he worked as an associate with Grant & Eisenhofer in its Delaware office.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The case, assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Anita Marie Boor, is 3:24-cv-00630, Secker, Nathan v. Epic Systems Corporation.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
