Sarah M. Murray, a Gross McGinley partner, was appointed to the position of president of the Bar Association of Lehigh County.
On Jan. 11 a gavel was ceremonially passed from the previous president to Murray, who will be the youngest female president to serve the bar in its history.
Murray focuses her legal practice on corporate law, real estate and municipal law while working with companies in a variety of industries throughout the Lehigh Valley region.

Andrew J. Levin, an associate at Rubin, Glickman, Steinberg and Gifford, was accepted into the 2018 Montgomery Bar Association's Leadership Academy.
Levin joined Rubin Glickman in 2013.
His practice focuses on criminal defense, personal injury and unemployment compensation.

McNees Wallace & Nurick attorney Denise Elliott was elected to the board of directors of SouthEast Lancaster Health Services.
As a member of the McNees Wallace labor and employment practice group, Elliott focuses her practice on defending self-insured employers in workers' compensation matters and providing representation and counsel to clients in employment discrimination litigation, Americans with Disabilities Act/Family and Medical Leave Act compliance, safety and health issues.

Eastburn and Gray's Erin K. Aronson was appointed to serve as vice chair on the executive board of the Young Lawyer's Division of the Bucks County Bar Association.
Members of the YLD are lawyers who are under 38 years of age or who have been practicing law for less than five years.
Aronson practices in the areas of real estate, labor and employment and banking law at Eastburn and Gray.
Prior to practicing law, Aronson's career focused on public service in both state government and politics.

The award was presented on Jan. 5 at the annual president's dinner of the Delco bar association.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
