Reilly, Wolfson, Sheffey, Schrum and Lundberg named Corey M. Lamoureux a partner of the firm.
Lamoureux joined the firm in 2011 and concentrates his practice in family law, municipal law, civil litigation and criminal defense.
Lamoureux is admitted to practice in all counties in Pennsylvania and in 2012, was admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Barley Snyder partner Salvatore Anastasi was named to two posts that shape the way national and international patent laws will be formed in the future.
Anastasi was named as a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association's patent harmonization committee, and was named the chair of the patent harmonization task force for the American Bar Association.
In the role with the AIPLA, Anastasi and the committee meet with industry leaders and patent office heads around the globe to set policy-balancing interests of patent owners, third parties and the public with a goal of streamlining the process of obtaining patents around the world.
With the ABA, Anastasi leads a task force that will craft the association's policy recommendations to deliver to U.S. lawmakers for changes to harmonize patent laws and procedures with the rest of the world.
Anastasi is a partner at Barley Snyder and the chair of its intellectual property practice group.

Elizabeth Fineman was a speaker at the Montgomery Bar Association family law section meeting on Feb. 7.
The program discussed the new Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, and the law's effect on the family law practice, including practical tips for tax season.
Fineman is part of the firm's family law practice group.
She handles all phases of the negotiation and litigation of domestic relations cases, including divorce, child custody and support, alimony/spousal support, equitable distribution and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

James B. Shrimp presented at the Philadelphia Society of People & Strategy, Bucks-Montgomery County LAN meeting on human resources in the new era of social media and #MeToo.
His presentation focused on the challenges of human resource professionals in the ever evolving world of ever-present social media and post-#MeToo.
At High Swartz, Shrimp counsels and represents businesses in employment and commercial disputes, including employment discrimination, wage-and-hour and restrictive covenants.
Shrimp also counsels and represents businesses in franchise law and trademark issues.

Saxton & Stump announced the formation of a trusts and estates practice area that will assist new and existing clients with developing customized estate plans.
Scott Alan Mitchell will lead the trusts and estates practice and he joined Saxton & Stump as a shareholder on Jan. 2 and has merged his practice with the firm.
Mitchell brings over 22 years of estate planning experience to Saxton & Stump.
He was formerly a partner with Mitchell and Young in Lancaster.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
