Blank Rome partner Sophia Lee, who serves as a member of the firm's diversity and inclusion committee, was elected to the board of directors of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania for a one-year term.
She was sworn in by Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Stella M. Tsai at the APABA-PA Lunar New Year banquet, which was held Feb. 2 at the Ocean Harbor restaurant in Philadelphia.
At Blank Rome, Lee concentrates her litigation practice in the energy industry, handling commercial, environmental, products liability and toxic tort matters.
She is a lecturer and CLE faculty presenter on matters concerning litigation management and best practices, e-discovery and information management, professional responsibility and ethics, trial advocacy skills, substantive legal issues and diversity and inclusion in the legal profession for various legal associations, organizations, law schools and law firms.

Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano promoted associate Stephen R. Miller to partner.
Miller is the first attorney to join the firm's partnership outside of the four founding members: Samuel H. Pond, Jerry M. Lehocky, David F. Stern and Thomas J. Giordano Jr.
In just 18 months, Miller made partner at Pond Lehocky.
Miller started his career as a defense litigator for employers and insurance companies.
Following a stint at a large regional defense firm, he moved to Post & Schell where he spent 13 years, the last seven as a partner.

Duane Morris' James H. Steigerwald is set to become co-head of the firm's 250-lawyer commercial, securities and antitrust litigation division and Dana J. Ash is set to become head of the 70-attorney products liability and toxic torts practice division.
Both Steigerwald and Ash are partners in the firm's Philadelphia office.
Steigerwald is a trial lawyer who has tried cases before federal and state courts across the country, obtaining multimillion-dollar verdicts as well as defense verdicts.
Ash practices in the areas of products liability and business litigation and has conducted trials in state and federal courts across the United States.

Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young's chief information officer Brett C. Don served as a panelist at Legaltech's 2018 conference on Jan. 30 in New York City.
Don's panel, presented by International Legal Technology Association, “Leadership for IT,” discussed how to evolve an IT organization from a reactive, operational service model to a proactive, strategic, customer-facing service model.
Don is chief information officer at Stradley Ronon.
He is responsible for the cost-effective delivery of technology services to more than 200 attorneys in the firm's eight offices.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
