The plaintiffs in a class action against Electrolux alleging defective handles in over-the-range microwave ovens will get the chance to amend their complaint.
In his opinion and order, U.S. District Judge Matthew W. Brann of the Middle District of Pennsylvania granted in part and denied in part Electrolux's motion to dismiss and allowed plaintiffs Elaine Rice and Alex Kukich leave to file an amended complaint.
The plaintiffs claimed the microwave handles absorbed heat from the microwaves and would burn owners' hands when they touched them.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
