Meyer, Unkovic & Scott partner Patricia Farrell was named co-chair of the firm's associates committee.
Farrell joins Antoinette “Nette” Oliver as a leader of the committee, charged with the overall professional development of the firm's associates.
Farrell also serves as co-chair of the corporate and business law practice group at Meyer Unkovic where she focuses her practice primarily in business services.
She represents operating businesses and those seeking to structure a business venture.
Farrell has a broad corporate practice where, in addition to counseling clients on formation and structuring business transactions, she assists with corporate governance, joint ventures, emerging entity issues, purchase and sale of businesses and succession planning for business owners.

Begley, Carlin & Mandio's Steven M. Jones was elected to partnership.
Jones has experience in the area of litigation, handling serious and high-profile cases including jury and bench trials.
Jones has represented individuals, businesses and government entities in a wide variety of litigation matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Jones was a member of the Bucks County District Attorney's Office, rising to the rank of deputy district attorney and handling cases ranging from financial fraud and white-collar investigations, to crimes against older adults, serious assault, DUI, drugs, homicide and investigative grand jury proceedings.

Kellie L. Rahl-Heffner, attorney with Gross McGinley, was appointed to the development committee for the Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living.
Along with her fellow committee members, Rahl-Heffner will assist in the planning of events, sponsorships, grants and other development activities.
In her legal practice, Rahl-Heffner counsels families in the areas of divorce, child custody, alimony, adoptions and protections from abuse.

Marion Munley, a partner at the Munley Law personal injury firm, attended the American Association for Justice winter convention held in Maui, Hawaii, Feb. 2-6.
Munley served as speaker on an ethics panel and hosted the AAJ Women Trial Lawyers Caucus meeting and events.
Munley hosted a WTLC brunch with keynote speaker Colleen Hanabusa, U.S. representative for Hawaii's 1st District and a former attorney.
Hanabusa spoke about barriers faced by women in politics, including the current sexual harassment climate in Washington, D.C.
Munley also spoke before her peers at the convention at a panel discussion on the topic of “Ethical Considerations of Co-Counseling.”

Brian C. Vertz, partner of Pollock Begg Komar Glasser & Vertz, is scheduled to speak Wednesday on the “Family Law Winners and Losers Under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017″ webinar sponsored by the Association of Divorce Financial Planners.
Vertz and his peers presenting at the seminar will address topics covering new tax brackets, exemptions and dependency, deductions, alimony, new pitfalls and complexities as well as best practices.

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The case, assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Anita Marie Boor, is 3:24-cv-00630, Secker, Nathan v. Epic Systems Corporation.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
