Greenblatt, Pierce, Funt & Flores partners Patricia V. Pierce and Julie A. Uebler joined the Legal Network for Gender Equity, a national task force of the National Women's Law Center as member attorneys.
The effort stems from the NWLC's desire to mobilize a nationwide network of attorneys willing to represent women and girls who have experienced harassment or other forms of sex discrimination at work, school or in health insurance or health care settings.
As attorneys in the Legal Network for Gender Equity, Pierce and Uebler will provide pro bono consultations to women referred by the NWLC.

Daniel E. Cummins of Foley, Comerford & Cummins published an article titled “Post-Koken Update” in the January 2018 edition of Counterpoint, the publication of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute.
Cummins is a partner in the firm with nearly 20 years of insurance defense and civil litigation experience.
He has focused his practice on defending motor vehicle accident liability cases and UIM/UM arbitration matters along with premises liability and products liability cases.

The Association of Audit Committee Members Inc., a not-for-profit organization devoted to developing best practices for audit committees, is scheduled to host a webinar, “Why Corporate Governance Fails,” featuring corporate governance attorneys from Blank Rome from noon to 1 p.m. on March 6.
This webinar will analyze why present corporate governance practices continue to fail investors, and how these failures can be prevented.
Scheduled speakers include Blank Rome partners Frederick D. Lipman, Barry H. Genkin and Mark M. Lee.

Former Philadelphia Deputy City Solicitor Benjamin Mishkin joined Baer Crossey McDemus as an associate in its technology and data privacy practice group.
Mishkin is experienced in data use and data license agreements governing the exchange of confidential data, including trade secret information, protected health information under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, drug/alcohol and mental health information governed by federal and state regulations, criminal history information and other sensitive data types.
He has negotiated complex data-sharing agreements with state and federal government agencies, as well as privately owned nonprofits and corporations.
In the software realm, Mishkin has drafted and negotiated agreements for the development and deployment of complex multi-vendor software solutions, including SaaS agreements and cloud-based storage agreements.

On March 7, Alan Nochumson, shareholder of Nochumson PC, is set to lead a CLE seminar at the Jenkins Law Library titled “Drafting Residential Agreements of Sale in Pennsylvania.”
During this seminar, Nochumson will discuss what every attorney in Pennsylvania should know about drafting a residential agreement of sale.
Among other things, he will focus on how to artfully draft an agreement of sale under terms and conditions which are most advantageous to either a seller or buyer, depending upon who the attorney is representing in the attempted real estate transaction.

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
