Elected and Appointed

Allison L. Perry of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote was named a principal of the firm.

Perry, who joined the firm in 2009, works in Dickie McCamey's Philadelphia office.

She is a member of both the insurance law and litigation and toxic tort practice groups.

She concentrates her practice in the areas of asbestos litigation, insurance defense and transportation law, with a particular emphasis in insurance coverage litigation.

Dilworth Paxson attorney Kristen L. Behrens was promoted within the partnership ranks of the firm, and Mark W. Halderman was elected as a partner.

Behrens is a trusts and estates attorney who specializes in special needs trusts and planning for disabled individuals and their families, post-litigation planning, estate planning and administration, and Orphans Court matters.

Prior to joining Dilworth, Behrens specialized in post-litigation and personal injury settlement planning.

Halderman represents technology companies and has litigated over a dozen patent infringement actions against Fortune 500 companies involving multi-access networks, interactive video, digital communications and wireless tethering.

Halderman has experience at all stages of litigation, from the prefiling investigation through trial.

Fox Rothschild's Julia Swain was named to the SeniorLAW Center board of directors for a three-year term.

The SeniorLAW Center works to improve the lives of older Pennsylvanians and protect their rights through legal representation, education and advocacy.

Swain, a partner in the firm's family law practice, represents clients in divorce, custody, support, equitable distribution, domestic abuse and related matters.

She litigates family law cases in Philadelphia and the surrounding communities of Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties.

Her practice also includes litigating in appellate courts and negotiating settlements and prenuptial agreements.

Speakers

Larsson & Scheuritzel attorney Melanie Breaux participated as a panelist at a University of Pennsylvania Law School movie screening event for “Balancing the Scales,” a film that chronicles the challenges women have historically faced in the legal profession and profiles some of the women who have succeeded in spite of those hurdles and have worked toward change.

Breaux participated in a panel discussion of fellow Penn Law alumnae about the film and how all lawyers can work toward a profession that values the contributions and work of all its members.

Breaux's practice focuses on a wide range of real estate transactional work, including the representation of developers, end users, borrowers and lenders in the sale and acquisition of commercial real estate, as well as the representation of commercial landlords and tenants in connection with retail and warehouse leases across the country.

She also advises clients on residential real estate transactions.

In addition, she has experience working with REITs and other large-scale real estate investors on the acquisition, disposition and financing of large portfolios of properties located throughout the United States.

McNees Wallace & Nurick is scheduled to host its 28th annual labor and employment seminar from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 11 at the Hershey Lodge.

On May 10, McNees Wallace is also set to host a pre-seminar network reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hershey Lodge.
