Kevin E. Hexstal, a shareholder in the Philadelphia office of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, was a guest speaker at St. Augustine Preparatory School in Richland, New Jersey, as part of the school's Black History Month programming.
Hexstall discussed the importance of education and perseverance in attaining career goals and positive outcomes in life. Hexstall is a member of Marshall Dennehey's casualty department where he defends clients in environmental, toxic torts and mass torts litigation, as well as premises/products liability and criminal defense matters.

Douglas A. Fendrick and Jamie Shuster Morgan, Fendrick & Morgan partners, presented an hour-long seminar covering the myriad Medicaid rules and regulations that could affect Estate and Financial Planning Council of Southern New Jersey attendees' clients regarding asset protection and long-term care planning.
Fendrick and Morgan explained the basic rules for Medicaid in New Jersey, including the terms of Medicaid eligibility; community spouse resource allowance; penalty periods regarding client assets and their status; details on Medicaid planning strategies, which generally involve asset preservation, and the benefits and details of gifting outright or in trust.
Fendrick & Morgan is a life care planning law firm offering its clients estate and tax planning, elder law and estate administration, Medicaid planning, asset protection planning, guardianship proceedings and now elder care coordination.

Sarah Filippi Dooley of Duffy + Partners was admitted to the bar of the U.S. Supreme Court.
At the ceremony, Dooley, along with other members of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division, were presented for admission and welcomed by U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts before they swore to support the U.S. Constitution.
Dooley joined Duffy + Partners in 2012 after earning her law degree at Widener University School of Law.
At Duffy + Partners, Dooley focuses her work on cases involving personal and catastrophic injury caused by products liability, premises liability, construction/industrial accidents and motor vehicle/trucking accidents.

Attorney Patrick J. O'Connor was selected to receive the second annual Founders Award from the Philadelphia Police Foundation at the foundation's “A Night for Blue” reception on April 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the Ballroom at the Ben on 834 Chestnut St. in Philadelphia.
O'Connor, vice chairman of the Philadelphia law firm Cozen O'Connor, served as president of the Philadelphia Police Foundation's board of directors from the independent, nonprofit organization's founding in 1999 to 2003.
He is a trial lawyer who focuses his practice on litigation arising out of contracts, banking matters, estates, professional liability involving legal and accounting matters and health care.

In recognition of his service and dedication to the American Society of Addiction Medicine, Mark F. Seltzer, founder and principal attorney for Seltzer and Associates, was made an honorary member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
In practice for more than 40 years, Seltzer's practice areas include disability insurance law and insurance bad faith.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
