Elected and Appointed

Post & Schell principal and chair of the firm's internal investigations and white-collar defense practice Ronald H. Levine became a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

The induction ceremony took place on March 2 during the 2018 spring meeting of the college in Phoenix.

Levine counsels and defends corporations, as well as directors, executives, professionals and others, confronting potential allegations of fraud or other misconduct at all stages of the government enforcement cycle: pre-enforcement internal investigations and compliance/governance counseling; responding to government inquiries, audits, subpoenas, search warrants and investigations; and trials and appeals, be they administrative, civil or criminal.

Duane Morris partners Eric R. Breslin and Beatrice O'Donnell became fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

The induction ceremony took place before an audience of 700 persons during the 2018 spring meeting of the college in Phoenix.

Breslin and O'Donnell join four other Duane Morris attorneys in the organization, including firm chairman and CEO Matthew A. Taylor and partners Michael L. Lipman, Michael M. Mustokoff and David J. Wolfsohn.

Breslin is co-chair of the white-collar criminal defense division of Duane Morris' trial practice group.

He concentrates his practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation and white-collar criminal litigation, representing a broad range of companies and individuals.

O'Donnell has tried to verdict more than 90 major civil jury trials in both the state and federal courts and has experience in handling hundreds of arbitration and mediations.

Her practice focuses on health effects litigation, including injuries from a wide variety of industrial products, mass and toxic torts involving exposures to pharmaceuticals, chemicals and claims of injury related to nuclear exposures.

Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young partner Samuel J. Arena Jr. served as a moderator for The Fidelity and Surety Law 2018 Midwinter Fidelity Law Conference—”Cyber and Technology Risks for the 21st Century”—on Jan. 26 in Washington, D.C.

Arena's panel of insurance company claims counsel addressed “Challenges and Changes for the Industry” and discussed developments in cybercrime and technology from a claims perspective.

Arena and his panel also offered observations on the types of claims and challenges insurers can expect to see and face going forward, and explored innovative strategies for claims resolution.

Arena has concentrated his practice on insurance law and fidelity and surety law for more than 34 years.

A leader in Stradley Ronon's insurance practice group and the chair of the firm's fidelity and surety practice group, he represents insurance companies in complex insurance coverage and fidelity and surety matters.

Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law's David F. and Constance B. Girard-diCarlo Center for Ethics, Integrity and Compliance is set to join forces with criminal justice organizations to present “Mass Exoneration and Ethics” from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 9.

“Mass Exoneration and Ethics” is presented in partnership with the Defender Association of Philadelphia, the Exoneration Project, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Registry of Exonerations, the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, the Philadelphia District Attorney Office, the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
