Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads partner Carrie Sarhangi Love spoke at the “Women in Law Summit Series: Philadelphia” on March 14.

The Women in Law Summit Series explores the career obstacles, risks and rewards on the path to a fulfilling and productive career for female lawyers.

Love spoke on the program “Who is My Mentor and Developing a Sponsor.”

The panel examined the value of good mentorship, where to seek guidance, sponsorship and its importance and creating your own meritocracy.

Love focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and white-collar defense and government investigations.

The 41st annual Donald A. Giannella Memorial Lecture is scheduled to host the “Nicholas of Cusa: Prophet of Modernity” discussion at 3 p.m. on April 3 at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.

Yale Law School Sterling Professor of Law Anthony T. Kronman is set to lead the lecture.

The event is sponsored by the Eleanor H. McCullen Center for Law, Religion and Public Policy.

Mark T. Gallagher joined Morgan & Akins as a new member to the firm's partnership.

Gallagher, the former founding partner of Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby and Philadelphia assistant district attorney, has experience counseling employers and businesses in liability and workers' compensation matters.

Gallagher's legal practice entails the defense of litigants in general casualty, premises, construction and workers' compensation matters.

His clients include national car rental companies, property management companies, municipalities and retail chains.

Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano's resident nurse and client advocate, Maribeth Altiere, introduced the honoree of the 21st annual Peggy Browning Fund awards dinner, honoring social justice activists who are champions of the labor movement.

Established in memory of Margaret A. Browning, a prominent labor attorney, the Peggy Browning Fund has the mission of educating and inspiring the next generation of law students to become advocates for workplace justice.
