Raynes McCarty changed its name to Raynes Lawn Hehmeyer.

The name change honors the firm's legacy while recognizing the individuals who now lead the firm: Stephen Raynes, Tim Lawn and Chuck Hehmeyer.

Arthur Raynes founded the firm in 1969 and assembled trial lawyers to represent catastrophically injured individuals and their families.

Over the last 50 years, the firm has secured personal injury recoveries for its clients in matters of products liability, medical malpractice, trucking and workplace accidents, aviation disasters and civil rights litigation.

Additions

Heidi G. Crikelair joined Blank Rome in the firm's Philadelphia office as an associate in the commercial litigation group.

Crikelair joins Blank Rome from Schulte Roth & Zabel.

She concentrates her practice on complex commercial and securities litigation, representing public and privately held companies and their directors and officers in financial services, pharmaceutical and other industry sectors.

Crikelair also has trial experience, including jury trials and federal and state court and arbitration experience, involving the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc. and the American Arbitration Association.

The New York University School of Law graduate is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New York.

Gawthrop Greenwood partner Patrick M. McKenna joined bar leaders from across the nation at the American Bar Association's “Bar Leadership Institute” in Chicago.

McKenna attended as president-elect of the Chester County Bar Association, where he will assume full leadership in 2019.

McKenna has experience guiding clients throughout complex commercial land development matters, from acquisition to planning, and through the permitting and land development phases.

He has represented clients on matters including townhome developments, senior care homes, national fast-food franchise developments, manufacturing plants and shopping center developments.

Speakers

Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano lawyers Kajal Alemo, Ruxandra M. Osgood, Erica Shikunov and Danielle N. Webb spoke at the Women in Law and Leadership summit in Philadelphia, hosted by CenterForce USA, on March 14.

The firm was a sponsor of the daylong event that explored career obstacles, risks and rewards for female attorneys.

The conference had over 25 experts and speakers and 150-plus attendees comprised of women in the legal profession.

Key topics for the presentations included: goal-oriented work-life and career management, pay equity and creating change, finding a mentor and developing a sponsor, and engaging and motivating men in prioritizing diversity.

Pond Lehocky lawyers moderated the interactive roundtable discussion, “Breaking Into the Boys Club,” about growth in the workplace for female attorneys and potential obstacles that young women have to navigate once they have advanced.

Goldberg, Miller & Rubin attorneys Claire Neiger, Eamon Merrigan and Lauren Glynn spoke at the Corporate Law Society and Health Law Society's joint panel on health care law.

Neiger is a trial lawyer with over 25 years of civil litigation experience in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey at the state and federal levels.

Merrigan is partner and chief information security officer and his experience includes, but is not limited to, premises liability, automotive negligence, intentional tort, products liability, medical malpractice, construction accident and complex subrogation claims.

Glynn concentrates her practice on automobile negligence defense, uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, and law enforcement defense.
